Gamers, and Writers, and Winners—Oh My

June 27, 2016

If you saw my facebook post today, you know I have a game starting July 1st and below are the prizes. To celebrate the release of The Operator, in November, I will do a random drawing from all the successful players (including international). You have to play to win. Just stop by every Friday and grab the puzzle you need to succeed.

PRIZES:

1.A special autographed copy of The Witch With No Name (see details)

2. A copy of The Drafter

3.  Hot off the presses copy of The Operator (not shown)

4. Milkweed seeds purchased to support the Monarch butterfly rescue.

SET UP: Every Friday from July through November I will post a Sudoku puzzle for you to work on the weekend. On Monday I will post the answers for you to check your puzzle. Keep your puzzles in order—it will be important when November rolls around. You will need them to find The Operator.

OBJECTIVE: Complete the Sudoku puzzles, keep them in order, and use them in November to help me find The Operator (more details about this part in November). Oh, and just for fun use the Riddle Writer page to figure out who The Witch With No Name is signed to (I’ll post a clue each month).

PLAYING: Friends can help you, but if you win you have to share the prize:-)

WINNING THE GAME:  The winner will be selected randomly by computer from all participants who successfully find the operator. You will send that information by email in November so that only those who truly make the effort and find the answer will have a chance to win.

PRIZES: A special copy of The Witch With No Name (see details), a copy of The Drafter, a copy of The Operator (hot off the presses), and a packet of Milkweed seeds purchased to support the Monarch butterfly rescue.

20160625_004807 The game doesn’t officially start until Friday, but all the pages will start going up this week. So, if you look around you may find the first puzzle early.

For the writers out there who may want to play and still get some work done. I will be working on my copy edit and posting my progress with every Monday puzzle answer post.  If you want to share advice for other writers, discuss your own WIP, or in general – just chat about writing – feel free to drop a line in the comments. If you have a question about writing, my staff will get back with you when they finish eating (laugh): Meditation is on the left and usually stops eating long enough to meditate (hence the name) and will probably contact you – maybe – in the next life, Piglet is on the right, and . . . well, Piglet is just not going to stop eating to contact you.

However, if you have a question, please ask. Sometimes you will know the answer if you just ask out loud.

I finished my copy edit query early which is good news because I know I need the extra time for the rewrite. I have four days till July 1st and my plan is to use those days to review the final chapter of the book for rewrite. I took a month to do the first rewrite on the final chapter and I was pleased with the outcome. Therefore, rather than use these extra days to start rewrite (2) on page one, I’m going to focus four solid days (after day job) on the final chapter. My goal is to have a chapter written as precise as a chemical equation. Therefore, my objective is to find out, in these four days, what blows up and what doesn’t. I have a list of things to try that I’m fairly certain could explode and you don’t want to see that (laugh).
