Reflecting Spring with Intention, Purpose, and Compassion

March 20, 2023

Reflecting Spring Beginnings: Plants remind me of the diversity of growth. Whether you are an established plant flowering to bear fruit once again, or a seedling breaching the soil for the first-time growth requires work.

I reversed the order of the post this time. Starting with the present and working backwards. Doing new things, as well as, doing old things in a new way stimulates growth for me and this year intentional growth is on the list.

Reflecting Spring

With the intention of supporting friends, I purposely created a couple social media videos for events that celebrate diversity in writing.

The Learning Curve: This March video was a modification from the first one completed in February. I used some new techniques. Doing things for friends makes the learning process fun – I’m excited that they will be signing at this event March 18, 2023.

February 17-19, 2023

I challenged myself with video creation for my friend’s signing event in Florida. Such incredible people!

The Learning Curve: The first one I liked but felt it was too long for the fast pace of social media. I reduced it down for the second run.

Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you have a day of love and connection with all the beautiful people who make your life special.

January 2023

A decision to procrastinate. Procrastinate – to delay or put off action. I feel that today as I ponder the unexpected death of a friend and colleague. I’ve been processing it for several days. Quiet tears at the gym thinking about a death framed by a last email sent to work at 5:30pm and being found the next day by friends when you didn’t show up at work. It took my writing to a spot that needed a lift.

So, I procrastinate writing, working, striving and find a place where I can be grateful. A place where I can smile. This life is precious and fleeting – absorb every day, tell people you care about them, show them your support, love yourself and others. Find a way to have fun even in the tough times.

Superhero ordered this to create something for me. Thank you – I can’t wait to see what you do with this! There is definitely a nod to the writer in this. Any writer who has crafted a story from bits of reality and imagination know this moment.

Our Golden Egg thoughtfully asked us this holiday what single word described how we planned to live this year. I had to pause and really give it some thought. What word would you choose?

Live Purposefully

Grow Intentionally

Stand Compassionately and

Love Unconditionally

I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday and a wonderful New Year!

Purpose: The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.

This is our story tree. I love it because it reminds me of the power of storytelling!

The Blue Room has the Together Table where there is always room for Discussion:)

Making Bows is one of the best parts of Christmas preparation for me. Wrapping gifts and making bows while we watch holiday movies helps slow the pace so we can enjoy the beauty and peace of the season.

The body nappers arrived with their humans. They are huggable, lovable, kissable snuggle boys.
