Book Lovers Sleepover at Library Hotel

September 12, 2022

Congratulations to my writing friend on her debut novel “The Rules of Forever”.

The Library Hotel on Madison Avenue in New York City rocked a roof party packed with friends and family for the first signing of Nan Campbell’s debut novel. What an incredibly positive, supportive, group of people. Superhero and I were blown away to see the life-size book reveal, receive a signed copy of the book, and taste the book in cake form! I can’t wait to read and review this book. If you were there, then you know how reviews spread the word for an author. Use Nan’s guidelines on those (laugh).

The Library Hotel: Welcome to a book lover’s dream.

The Sleepover Room: Find your room number the way you find a book in the library – with the Dewey Decimal System. Each room has a selection of books that match the Dewey Decimal display beside the room door.

The Reading Room: Yes, this is the light of heaven at the espresso machine in the reading room. (Grin)

Words like freedom and liberty: Books provide a way to experience diversity and develop understanding. Each of us can grow in empathy. Whether it be extroverts reading “Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking” or something just the opposite. Whether the difference is big or small, take a look at your TBR pile and add something that is different than you:-) If you do not have a TBR (To Be Read) pile, find someone who does because that’s different and okay too.

Saying goodbye to the skyline of NYC through cloud cover. The first picture is where I reminded Superhero that we could jump from here, we’d done it before. The second is where Superhero threatened to push me out if I ever decided we should do that again. Hahaha:-)
