My Hellebore Survived

My Hellebore survived. I think I’m going to plant pink for next year. As hardy as they are I was still concerned because we had a really warm spell that tricked them into showing up before a nasty ice storm and several hard frosts. I covered them once then let them fend for themselves till spring came. I’m very pleased with them.

Six more days till my deadline for the rewrite on manuscript two and I have five chapters left, which is really pushing it with my regular schedule. However, I have a retreat lined up in those days and I hope to use the time away from my day job to really focus this final push. I know it may be a bad idea to think I can get anything done with all that opportunity to catch up with creative friends, but we’ll see.

I hope to find some interest in doing a month or so read and discussion with them online. Each of us will select a favorite author and compare their beginning work with more recent work, then discuss issues that relate to our own writing. I’ll hopefully be moving into the read aloud portion of my work which allows me to do it while I run – don’t ask: I’m still working on it.

I structured some plans for project – N last night after I finished a chapter of my manuscript. So, I feel pretty balanced between my left and right brain for now, but give it time (laugh).
